PowerGrid Conferred 1st prize for observance of Swachhta Pakhwada 2019

New Delhi: PowerGrid has been adjudged first by the Ministry of Power among all CPSEs in the power sector for its exemplary performance during the observation of 'Swachhta Pakhwada' between May 16 to 31.

The much-coveted award was received by Ravi P Singh, CMD, POWERGRID from AK Bhalla, Secretary (Power), in presence of senior officials at a function held in Shram Shakti Bhawan on July 11. The award will further reinforce the company's commitment towards the government's 'Swachhata Mission,' an official statement said.

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID), the 'Central Transmission Utility (CTU)' of the country and a 'Navratna' Company, is engaged in power transmission business with the responsibility for planning, co-ordination, supervision and control over inter-state transmission system and operation of National & Regional Power Grids. POWERGRID owns 1,53,635 ckm of transmission lines, 243 substations with a transformation capacity of 368,512 MVA.
