New Delhi: Praveen Kumar is set to be the next Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a PSU under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.
Kumar has been recommended for the post of CMD of ALIMCO from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on December 6. Out of six candidates, two candidates were from ALIMCO and one each from HLL Lifecare Limited, Antrix Corporation Limited (Antrix), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and Indian Inspection Service.
Kumar is an Engineering Graduate from NIT, Jamshedpur and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Operations & Finance) from MDI, Gurgaon. He has more than 25 years of experience in PSUs, Private MNCs at multiple locations in India and abroad including Middle East and African countries. He has multi-disciplinary experience in heavy engineering, oil & gas, power, steel and disability sectors in areas of manufacturing, procurement and products.
