New Delhi: Rajarshi Gupta has assumed charge as Managing Director (MD) of ONGC Videsh Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary and overseas arm of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Ltd. He has taken over the charge of the post with effect from July 19. Prior to this, he was serving as Executive Director in ONGC Limited.

Gupta is an Engineering Graduate (Mechanical Engineering) from NIT Rourkela. He is also a Gold Medallist in MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT). He has rich experience in international business in ONGC.

As Managing Director of ONGC Videsh Limited, Gupta is the Chief Executive of the company reports to the CMD of the holding company and is accountable to its Board of Directors and the Government. He is responsible for the efficient functioning of the company for achieving its corporate objectives and performance parameters.
