Rajeev Gupta set to be next Director (Projects) of Engineers India Ltd

The PESB panel has recommended the name of Rajeev Gupta for the post of Director (Projects) of Engineers India Limited (EIL)

New Delhi: Rajeev Gupta is set to be the next Director (Projects) of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 25. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Gupta has been recommended for the post of Director (Projects) of EIL from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on August 25. Out of seven candidates, five candidates including Gupta, were from EIL and once each from RITES Limited and WAPCOS Limited.

Currently, SK Handa is serving as Director (Projects) of EIL.

As Director (Project) of EIL, Gupta will be a member of the Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall responsible for the execution of projects both as a consultant as well as EPC contractor through task forces comprising multi-disciplinary engineering teams supported by services departments and the construction division.
