Rajeev Kr Gupta set to be next Director (Rail & Metro Business) of BEML

Rajeev Kumar Gupta has been recommended for the post of Director (Rail & Metro Business) of BEML Limited on Tuesday

New Delhi: Rajeev Kumar Gupta is set to be the next Director (Rail & Metro Business) of BEML Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Defence. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he serves as General Manager of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL).

Gupta has been recommended for the post of Director (Rail & Metro Business) of BEML Limited from a list of 10 candidates who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. There were a total of six candidates, who were on the list, were from BEML, two candidates from Indian Railways and one each from BHEL and Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL).

As Director (Rail & Metro Business) of BEML, Gupta will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be the Business Head for Rail & Metro business and will be responsible for production, marketing, design & development of new products, indigenization, exports and new business development. He will also ensure the effective utilization of potential and expertise available in the company.
