REC’s subsidiary hands over Rajgarh Transmission to GR Infraprojects

REC Limited owned RECPDCL has handed over the project-specific SPV formed for the construction of transmission projects to GR Infraprojects Limited

New Delhi: REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of REC Limited, has handed over the project-specific SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle) formed for the construction of the transmission project viz., 'transmission system for evacuation of power from RE projects in Rajgarh (2500 MW) SEZ in Madhya Pradesh, to GR Infraprojects Limited on May 30.

GR Infraprojects Limited has been the successful bidder of the Inter-State Transmission Project of the Ministry of Power and RECPDCL as BPC (Bid Process Coordinator).

The SPV has been handed over by RECPDCL's CEO R Lakshmanan and Jt CEO TSC Bosh to GR Infraprojects Limited's President (Corporate Affairs and Development) Siba Narayan Nayak in the presence of other senior officials of RECPDCL and G R Infraprojects Limited.

The selection of successful bidders was carried out through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process for selecting transmission developers in line with the standard bidding documents and guidelines thereof as notified by the Ministry of Power. The work involves the establishment of 400/220 kV, 3X500 MVA at Pachora pooling station and 400 kV D/c line from Pachora SEZ PP -Bhopal. The schedule of implementation of the scheme is 18 months from the date of transfer of SPV.
