New Delhi: Reep Hazarika is set to get elevated as the Managing Director of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Ltd (BCPL) as his name has been recommended by the Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB). Hazarika is currently serving as a Chief General Manager at the PSU. He was selected for the post from a list of three shortlisted candidates. Only one other candidate was from within BCPL and the other one was from BSNL.

Hazarika started his career a Process Engineer with Indian Oil in 1988. Over the years he has worked with Numaligarh Refinery Limited and Bharat Oman Refineries Limited, before joining BCPL in January 2016. He holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
