RINL-VSP inks MoA with NRDC for licensing of technologies

RINL-VSP and NRDC have signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) in which NRDC will provide consultancy and patent filing services to RINL

Vizag: Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (RINL-VSP), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel, and National Research Development Corporation (NRDC), a leading technology transfer organisation under the Ministry of Science & Technology, signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) on Friday.

The MoA has been signed by RINL's Executive Director (Works) KV Vidya Sagar and NRDC's Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Dr H Purushotham in the presence of senior officials in VSP.

NRDC has been serving the nation for over six decades for the development, promotion and transfer of technologies, know-how, Intellectual Property (IP) emanating from Research and Development (R&D) organisations and academic institutions.

What is in this MoA

As per the MoA signed between the two organisations, NRDC will provide consultancy services to RINL in the filing of patents, trademarks, and design applications both in India and abroad, and also for licensing of said technologies on a case-to-case basis for commercial exploitation.

NRDC has been serving the nation for over six decades for the development, promotion and transfer of technologies, know-how, Intellectual Property (IP) emanating from Research and Development (R&D) organisations and academic institutions. This MoA will provide the necessary thrust to RINL in supporting and improving upon its innovation activities.
