Visakhapatnam: Vizag Steel Plant (RINL-VSP) has signed a Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with engineering consultancy company RITES Limited on Friday. According to this MoU, RITES will undertake all the 6.3 MTPA railway infrastructure works in RINL-VSP. And RITES will be responsible for providing project management consultancy of all rail infrastructure and allied civil works related to RINL-VSP for the next five years.

"During the MoU period, RINL can entrust the works to RITES for any rail infrastructure work from concept to commissioning," said RINL.

The MOU has been signed by RINL's Director (Projects) KK Ghosh and RITES's Director (Projects) VG Suresh Kumar in the presence of RINL's Executive Director (Projects) I/c, R Nagarajan; RINL's Executive Director (Modernisation) L Bhaskar; RINL's Executive Director (Works) I/c KV Vidya Sagar; RINL's Deputy General Manager (D&E) K Sreedevi and RITES's Group General Manager (C), MK Behera and RITES's General Manager (C) James Victor.
