RK Hegde set to be next Director (Way & Works) of Konkan Railway

RK Hegde has been recommended for the post of Director (Way & Works) of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) by the PESB panel on Tuesday

New Delhi: RK Hegde is set to be the next Director (Way & Works) of Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation.

Hegde has been recommended for the post of Director (Way & Works) of Konkan Railway from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on December 20.

As Director (Way & Works) of Konkan Railway, Hedge will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for all construction activities, maintenance and upkeep of permanent way fixed structures as well as colonies and roads, and also maintenance and upkeep of track maintenance machines. He will also be responsible for planning and design and other works relating to bridges, tunnels, structures and buildings.
