RN Ravi gets additional charge of Meghalaya Governor post

New Delhi: Ravindra Narayana Ravi has been given additional charge of Governor of Meghalaya on Monday. He is currently serving as the Governor of Nagaland.

"The President of India is pleased to appoint RN Ravi, Governor of Nagaland, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Meghalaya, in addition to his own duties, during the absence on leave of Tathagata Roy, Governor of Meghalaya," a press communique from President's Secretariat said.

RN Ravi hails from Bihar and is currently serving as the Governor of Nagaland. He retired as special director of the Intelligence Bureau in 2012. He was the Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee from 2014. He was appointed as Deputy National Security Advisor of India on October 5, 2018.
