New Delhi: State-owned Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) stated in a regulatory filing on Wednesday that it has appointed "Dr Padman Kumar Patel as Non-Official Independent Director of the board for a period of three years with immediate effect or until further orders, whichever is earlier."

The order dated February 6 said, "The President is pleased to appoint Dr Padman Kumar Patel as Non-official Independent Director on the Board of Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), for a period of three years with immediate effect or until further orders, whichever is earlier."
