Saurav Dutta appointed as Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Saurav Dutta for the post of Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. on Monday

New Delhi: Saurav Dutta has been appointed as Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd., a PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Dutta on Monday. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Dutta has been appointed to the post for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he serves as Vice President in the same organisation.

Dutta was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of Balmer Lawrie by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on September 7, 2022. He was selected for the post, from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel.

Dutta is a qualified CA and CS with 25 years of experience in Accounts & Finance. he has been associated with Balmer Lawrie & Co for more than the last 25 years. He has also worked with Allied Resins & Chemicals Limited as EA to Vice President Finance & Company Secretary between January 1994 to April 1997 for three years and four months.

His experience encompasses accounts, finance, treasury, budgetary planning & controlling, financial reporting, costing, internal audit, indirect taxes, & corporate governance.
