SCOPE organising programme on corporate governance in PSEs on March 14-15

Under the 'Corporate Governance in PSEs' programme, SCOPE has trained about 900 board directors and top management executives over the years

New Delhi: With an aim to strengthen Corporate Governance practices in CPSEs, the Standing Conference Of Public Sector Enterprises (SCOPE) is organising the 16th training programme on corporate governance on the theme 'Effective Directors for Sustainable Competitiveness' on March 14-15. The program would be inaugurated by Atanu Chakraborty, IAS, Secretary, Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM).

Under this initiative, SCOPE has trained about 900 Board Directors and Top Management Executives over the years. The programme would familiarise the participants with new concepts in corporate governance, the institutional environment, key developments in the governance of state-owned enterprises and also would help them gain insights into international best practices for board effectiveness. The lead resource for the programme is Prof (Dr) YRK Reddy, Founder President, The SOE Forum and Academy of Corporate Governance. The International Resource for the programme would be Peter Greenwood, Corporate Governance Specialist and renowned solicitor in the UK and Hong Kong.
