SJVN’s Shallinder Singh set to be next Director (Personnel) of THDC

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Shallinder Singh for the post of Director (Personnel) of THDC Limited

New Delhi: Shallinder Singh is set to be the next Director (Personnel) of THDC India Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in SJVN Limited, also a PSU under the Ministry of Power.

Singh has been recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of THDC India Limited from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on January 10. Out of nine candidates, four candidates were from NTPC Limited and one each from THDC India Limited, SJVN Limited, NHPC Limited, NHDC Limited and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) Limited.

As Director (Personnel) of THDC India Limited, Singh will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in-charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
