SP Mohanty gets additional charge of BVFCL’s Director (Production) post

SP Mohanty, who is presently serving as CMD of BVFCL, has been given additional charge as Director (Production) of the company

New Delhi: SP Mohanty has been assigned to the additional charge of Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited's (BVFCL) Director (Production) post. He has been serving as Chairman & Managing Director of the organisation since October 1, 2021. He has been given an additional charge of the post upon superannuation of Digambar Sahai on August 31.

According to an order issued by the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Mohanty has been given additional charge of the post for a period of three months with effect from September 1, 2022, or till the date of appointment of a regular incumbent for the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dr Mohanty has done his Masters in Business Management from Berhampur University, Odisha. He completed his Executive Development Programme from IIM Lucknow and Advanced Management Programme from IIM, Kolkatta. He comes with more than 26 years of rich and diverse experience primarily in the Marketing of Agri Inputs. He has also worked in Rashtriya Chemical & Fertilizers Ltd (RCF), Mumbai, in different capacities from 1989 to 2015.

Mohanty is a recipient of the "Marketing Man of the Year" award in 1995 and the "Best Employee" Award in 2012 at RCF. Under the Chairmanship of Dr Mohanty, Hindustan Insecticides Limited was awarded several prestigious awards by renowned institutions like Bureaucracy Today (CSR Excellence Award), Times Ascent (Innovative HR practices), The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) etc.
