Suchitra Sharma gets extension as EIL’s additional CVO

Suchitra Sharma, currently serving as GAIL's CVO, has been given extension of additional charge of the post of CVO of Engineers India Limited (EIL) for a period of six months

New Delhi: Suchitra Sharma, an Indian Revenue Services (IRS) officer of 1987-batch, has been given an extension of the additional charge of the post of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Engineer India Limited (EIL), a Navratna PSU under the administrative control of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The government has extended her services for a period of six months with effect from December 19. Currently, she is also serving as CVO of GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under same Ministry.

Suchitra Sharma is a postgraduate in Philosophy. She has more than 31 years of experience in various streams such as Customs, Excise and Service tax.

Prior to joining GAIL (India) Limited as Chief Vigilance Officer, she was posted as Principal Commissioner, CGST, New Delhi. She has previously worked as Commissioner of Lucknow and Kanpur. She also held the charge of Additional Director General of the Directorate of Revenue in Intelligence at the zonal Headquarters Lucknow.

Engineers India Limited (EIL)

Engineers India Limited (EIL) is a design and engineering company in the field of petroleum refineries, petrochemicals, oil and gas processing, offshore structures and platforms, fertilizers, metallurgy and power. EIL provides services such as design, engineering, procurement, construction management, commissioning assistance and project management.

EIL was set up in 1965 to provide engineering and related technical services for petroleum refineries and other industrial projects. Currently, EIL has two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemical Limited Head Office in New Delhi and fertilizer and chemical plant in Ramagundam, Telangana.
