Sudhanshu Pandey (IAS) assumes charge as CMD of MMTC

Department of Commerce's Additional Secretary Sudhanshu Pandey has taken over the additional charge of CMD, MMTC Limited

New Delhi: Sudhanshu Pandey (IAS) has taken over the additional charge of CMD post of MMTC Limited, a Miniratna PSU under the Department of Commerce, on March 1. Pandey is 1987 batch, Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of Jammu & Kashmir cadre and currently serving as Additional Secretary in the Department of Commerce under the Ministry of Commerce. According to an order from the Ministry of Commerce, Pandey has assumed the additional charge of CMD, MMTC Limited with effect from March 1, vice Ved Prakash who has superannuated on February 29.

Profile

Pandey, aged 57 years, is an IAS officer of 1987 Jammu & Kashmir batch and has an experience of over 32 years in different senior positions in state government, central government and in the Indian Embassy in Germany. He also led many high-level government and trade delegations to various countries, represented India and or conducted trade negotiations in various areas, chaired many high-level committees and currently discharge functions as Chief Negotiator of India. He is a recipient of Governor's Medal, Chief Minister Gold Medal, National award by Akhil Bhartiya Vidvat Parishad, Varanasi and the Government of India Commendation Certificates for his services in the central and provincial government.
