New Delhi: Suresh Chandra Pandey is set to be next Director (Personnel) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Steel. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).

Pandey has been recommended for the post of Director (Personnel) of RINL from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on February 7. Out of nine candidates, six candidates were from RINL and one each from SAIL, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Engineers India Limited (EIL).

As Director (Personnel) of RINL, Pandey will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of coordinating and implementing personnel and industrial relations policies, management functions, administrative control etc. in the organisation.
