Surprise station added to the IRCTC’s Shri Ramayan Yatra Special Train

The first tour of fully booked 'Sri Ramayan Yatra,' had started from Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station on November 7, which will cover all the prominent places associated with the life of Lord Shri Rama

New Delhi: Ministry of Railways on Wednesday added a surprise station to IRCTC's Shri Ramayan Yatra Special Train. Now the train will also stop at Bhadrachalam Road station on September 22. The halt will be for around five and a half hours from 3.25 pm to 9 pm. Bhadrachalam Road railway station is located in Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana and serves Kothagudem. Shri Sita Ramachandraswamy temple is situated at Bhadrachalam.

"Sri Ramayana Yatra" is a unique initiative of operating the Deluxe AC Tourist Train on the Ramayana circuit being conducted by IRCTC Limited. The first edition of Shri Ramayan Yatra Special Train has got an overwhelming response from the public. The tour will be completed in 17 days. The first half of this train will be Ayodhya where tourists will visit Shri Ram Janmbhumi temple and Hanuman temple and additionally Bharat Mandir at Nandigram. After Ayodhya, the next destination will be Sitamarhi in Bihar and the visit of Sita Ji's birthplace and Ram-Janaki Temple in Janakpur (Nepal) will be covered by road. Post Sitamarhi, the train will move to Varanasi, and tourists will visit temples at Varanasi, Prayag, Shringverpur and Chitrakoot by road. Night stay will be provided at Varanasi, Prayag and Chitrakoot.

Further, the next halt of the train will be Nasik wherein a visit of Trayambakeshwar temple and Panchvati will be covered. The next destination after Nasik will be Hampi which is the ancient Krishkindha city. Here the temple of Shri Hanuman birthplace and other heritage and religious sites will be covered. Rameshwaram will be the last destination of this train tour after which the train will return to Delhi on the 17th Day of its Journey. Guests will be travelling roughly 7,500 kms in this entire tour.

The state of art deluxe AC Tourist Train has a host of astounding features including two fine dining restaurants, a modern kitchen, shower cubicles in coaches, sensor-based washroom functions, foot massager. The fully air-conditioned train provides two types of accommodation viz. 1st AC and 2nd AC. The train has enhanced security features of CCTV cameras and Security Guards for each coach.
