These refineries of IOCL got awarded by MoP&NG

New Delhi/Bengaluru: Indian Oil Corporation Limited's (IOCL) youngest refinery at Paradip and country's first PSU refinery at Guwahati have won prestigious awards for refining excellence and energy efficiency, respectively, instituted by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoP&NG). Paradip Refinery's Executive Director TDVS Gopalakrishna and Guwahati Refinery's Executive Director Sanjay Manchanda have received the awards from Petroleum Secretary Dr MM Kutty in the presence of IOCL's Chairman Sanjiv Singh and IOCL's Director (Refineries) SM Vaidya. he Chairman of Scientific Advisory Committee on Hydrocarbons (MOP&NG) Dr Anil Kakodar and other luminaries from the oil and gas industry were also present on the occasion. Paradip Refinery was declared the 'winner' of the Refinery Performance Improvement Award (2018-2019), for demonstrating significant improvement in six important parameters, including crude throughput, specific energy conservation, carbon emission, specific water consumption etc.

Guwahati Refinery won the first prize in Steam Leak Reduction, conducted under 'Saksham 2019'. The awards were presented during the inaugural ceremony of the 24th Refining & Petrochemicals Technology Meet (RPTM) on January 19, 2020, at Bengaluru.
