New Delhi: Vivek Anand Chourey has assumed charge as Executive Director (Operations) at Corporate Headquarters of Airports Authority of India (AAI). Prior to this appointment, he was serving as General Manager (Operations) at AAI. Chourey is a senior airport professional with more than 30 years of experience and has held key positions in Directorate of Operations, Aviation Safety and Corporate Affairs. Chourey is also a certified International Aviation Professional from International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. AAI manages 125 airports, which include 18 international airports, seven customs airports, 78 domestic airports and 26 civil enclaves at defence airfields.
