Vivek Kumar is PS to PM, Bharat Lal Addl. Secretary in Jal Shakti

The Appointments Committee of Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Vivek Kumar as private secretary to the PM and Bharat Lal has been shifted to the Jal Shakti Ministry as the Additional Secretary

New Delhi: 2004 IFS batch officer Vivek Kumar has been appointed Private Secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Kumar was earlier serving as Director in the Prime Minister's Office as Private Secretary to the PM. Vivek's appointment will come into effect from the day of the assumption of charge and his tenure will be on the co-terminus basis or under further orders, whichever is earlier, the official order said.

There was another reshuffle in the President house secretariat. Bharat Lal, who was previously serving as Additional Secretary to the President, will now serve as the Additional Secretary in the Jal Shakti Ministry in the department of Drinking Water & Sanitation. Lal is a 1988-batch Indian Forest Service officer of the Gujarat cadre.
