Yogendra Prasad Shukla assumes charge as Director (Finance) of HOCL

New Delhi: Yogendra Prasad Shukla has assumed charge as Director (Finance) of Hindustan Organic Chemicals Limited (HOCL), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Chemical Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers, on Monday in Mumbai. Prior to joining HOCL, Shukla was posted as Deputy General Manager in NTPC Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power. He was recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of HOCL by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on January 10.

Shukla has been appointed for a period of five years with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or till the date of his superannuation, or till further orders, whichever is the earliest.

Shukla is a science graduate and professionally a Cost Accountant. Previously, he was heading the Finance Department of the 1,760 MW Tanda Thermal Power Project of NTPC Limited Located in Faizabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has undergone several pieces of training with reputed institutions. He carries with him a rich professional experience of over 22 years having served organisations like BEML and NTPC having exposure to the entire gamut of Finance and Accounts functions.

As Director (Finance) of HOCL, Shukla became a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be in overall charge of the finance and accounts functions of the organisation and is responsible for evolving and formulating related policies and their implementation.

HOCL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Sajeev B along with Functional Directors welcomed him into the HOCL family.

HOCL was incorporated in 1956 with the objective of setting up chemical manufacturing units for the production of organic chemicals and chemical intermediates. It is a Miniratna PSU under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers.
