A Madhavarao appointed as Director (Technical) of BDL

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of A Madhavarao for the post of Director (Technical) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL)

New Delhi: The government has cleared the appointment of A Madhavarao for the post of Director (Technical) of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a PSU under the Ministry of Defence. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Madhavarao on Thursday. He has been appointed to the post with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, ie April 30, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Earlier, PSU Watch had reported when Madhavarao was recommended for the post by a PESB panel on September 8. He was among nine candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB panel for the said post. Presently, he is currently serving as Executive Director and Head of KBU & PSG in the same organisation.

BDL is a Miniratna Defence PSU under the Ministry of Defence. It is one of India's manufacturers of ammunition and missile systems.
