AAI’s 2-day Rajbhasha Sammelan inaugurated in Mussoorie

New Delhi: State-run Airports Authority of India's (AAI) northern region inaugurated a two-day Rajbhasha Sammelan at Mussoorie on Tuesday. The event was opened by JK Goel, AAI Executive Director (Administration), in the presence of MN Rao, Regional Executive Director (Northern Region). While taking note of the contribution made by the northern region to improve the implementation of Rajbhasha Hindi, Goel lauded the role of Hindi officers of the region.

Speaking in the Rajbhasha Sammelan Goel said that in the time to come, AAI will definitely attain more and more achievements in Hindi implementation apart from attaining other organisational milestones. Rao, too, urged the delegates to do their best to promote Hindi. Over the course of two days, a total of 50 delegates would share their success stories on the implementation of the official language Hindi and discuss the challenges and the ways to address them. Surya Bhan Gautam, Joint General Manager (Official Language) will also be presenting the various facets of the policy. Like other PSUs, AAI, a Miniratna PSU under the purview of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is mandated to implement the official language policy of the government.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Civil Aviation, is responsible for creating, upgrading, maintaining and managing civil aviation infrastructure in India. AAI manages 125 airports, which include 18 international airports, seven customs airports, 78 domestic airports and 26 civil enclaves at defence airfields.
