The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of AG Thankappan as the Chairman of Spices Board, Kochi

New Delhi: AG Thankappan is the new Chairman of Spices Board, Kochi. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Thankappan for a period of three years with effect from the date of assumption of charge of the post, or on co-terminus basis with the tenure of the Board, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Spices Board, Kochi under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry is the flagship organisation for the development and worldwide promotion of Indian spices. The Board is an international link between the Indian exporters and the importers abroad. The Board has been spearheading activities for excellence of Indian spices, involving every segment of the industry.
