Adika Ratna Sekhar assumes charge as CMD of Balmer Lawrie Co Ltd

New Delhi: Adika Ratna Sekhar has assumed charge as full-time Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Balmer Lawrie & Co Ltd, a Mini Ratna Category-I PSE under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG), with effect from November 5. This announcement on the leadership change at the board level has been announced by the Petroleum PSU on November 5. The new CMD holds the additional charge of the Director (HR&CA) and Director (Manufacturing Businesses) of the company as well.

According to an earlier order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been appointed to the post for a period till the date of his superannuation (i.e. June 30, 2024) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Adika is graduated from Osmania University. He has over three decades of experience in leading multicultural organisations in human resources management, industrial relations and administration. A keen strategist with a flair for designing and implementing innovative strategies, he is credited for HR interventions in line with industry standards. A seasoned professional, he believes in diversity, inclusion and change as the drivers of business growth. He has been the Director on the board of Balmer Lawrie since May 2018 and has significantly contributed to the growth of the organisation in his various roles.

Balmer Lawrie & Co. Ltd. is a PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. The company is engaged in manufacturing steel barrels and drums, greases and lubricants and leather chemicals and providing services in the areas of travel and tours, logistics, container freight station, Warehousing and distribution, refinery and oil field services, temperature-controlled warehouse etc through its plants, sales offices, branch offices, technical service centres spread all over India.
