Ajit Kumar Behura set to be next Director (Finance) of MCL

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel has recommended the name of Ajit Kumar Behura for the post of Director (Finance) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL)

New Delhi: Ajit Kumar Behura is set to be the next Director (Finance) of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), a subsidiary company of Coal India Limited under the Ministry of Coal. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. Presently, he is serving as Deputy General Manager in the same organisation.

Behura has been recommended for the post of Director (Finance) of MCL from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on Thursday. Out of seven candidates, three candidates were from MCL and each from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL) Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) Ltd and Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL).

As Director (Finance) of MCL, Behura will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be overall in charge of finance and accounts functions of the organisation and will be responsible for evolving, formulating and implementing financial policies including commercial aspects.
