Anil Mukim (IAS) appointed as Chairman of GSFC

Anil Mukim (IAS), who is currently serving as Chief Secretary to the government of Gujarat, has been appointed as Chairman of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC)

New Delhi: Anil Mukim (IAS) has been appointed as Chairman of Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC), GSFC said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Tuesday. Mukim is a 1985-batch Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer of Gujarat cadre. He is currently serving as Chief Secretary to the government of Gujarat. Mukim has been appointed in place of Arvind Agarwal (IAS), who retired from services.

Mukim holds a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Law. He has held many important portfolios, including Collector & District Magistrate, Vadodara, Bhavnagar & Kutch-Bhuj, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Municipal Commissioner of Ahmedabad, Principal Secretary in Revenue Department, Additional Chief Secretary in Health & Family Welfare Department, Additional Chief Secretary to General Administrative Department and Additional Chief Secretary to Finance Department with the government of Gujarat.

He has also held several positions with the Central government, including Joint Secretary of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, CVO of Housing & Urban Development Corporation and Secretary of the Ministry of Mines. He has held directorship on the board of various companies.

In addition to his responsibility as Chief Secretary of the state, he is also Chairman of Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation Limited, Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals Limited, Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers Company Limited, Gujarat Maritime Board and Managing Director of Gujarat State Petronet Limited.

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) is an Indian manufacturer of fertilizers and industrial chemicals, headquartered in Vadodara. GSFC was founded in 1962. It manufacturers plastics, nylons, fibres, industrial gases and various chemicals, including urea, ammonia, ammonium sulfate, sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid and diammonium phosphate, Caprolactam, Melamine, Methanol.
