Arun Kanti Bagchi appointed as Director (Projects) of RINL

The ACC has approved the appointment of Arun Kanti Bagchi for the post of Director (Projects) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL)

New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Arun Kanti Bagchi for the post of Director (Projects) of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) on Thursday. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Bagchi has been appointed to the post for a period with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation i.e. August 31, 2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Presently, he is serving as Chief General Manager in MECON Limited.

Bagchi was recommended for the post of Director (Projects) of RINL by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 25. He was selected for the post from a list of nine candidates, who were interviewed by the selection panel in its selection meeting held on August 24.

Bagchi is an Engineering Graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology. He has also done MTech in Design & Production Engineering from REC Durgapur. He has been associated with MECON since April 2011.
