AS Kesavan Nampoori set to be Director (Technical) of FACT Limited

New Delhi: AS Kesavan Nampoori is set to be Director (Technical) of Fertilizers & Chemicals Travancore (FACT) Limited, a Kochi-based fertilizer PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers. He has been recommended by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Currently, he is serving as Executive Director in the same organisation. Nampoori has been selected for the post of Director (Technical) of FACT Limited from two candidates who were interviewed by the selection panel. Another candidate was from National Fertilizers Limited (NFL). The post of Director (Technical) in FACT is vacant since July 13, 2017.

As Director (Technical) in FACT, Kesavan will act as head of the Technical & Operations division of the company. His responsibilities will be to ensure efficient operation of the plants of the company in a manner which would also ensure optimum utilization of resources. He will also act as Principal Adviser of the company in all technical and operations matters.

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT) is a fertiliser and chemical manufacturing company headquartered in Kochi, Kerala. The company was incorporated in 1943 by Maharajah Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma of Travancore Kingdom. FACT is the first fertiliser manufacturing company in independent India and also the largest Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) in the state of Kerala.
