Ashok Das set to be next Director (HR) of Oil India Ltd

Ashok Das, who is currently serving as Executive Director (HRD), has been recommended for the post of Director (HR) of Oil India Limited

New Delhi: Ashok Das is set to be the next Director (HR) of Oil India Limited, a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Friday. Presently, he is serving as Executive Director (HRD) in the same organisation.

Ashok Das has been recommended for the post of Director (HR) of Oil India Limited from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. There were a total of five candidates, including Das, who were on the list were from Oil India and one each from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and Indian Railways Personnel Service (IRPS).

As Director (HR) of Oil India, Das will be a member of the board of directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD). He will be responsible for HR planning and organising manpower resources, HR policies performance management, compensation management, succession planning, talent management, training, capability building, employee services, industrial relations, CSR, Security and Legal functions in the organisation.
