Atul Gupta set to be next Director (Commercial) of Engineers India Ltd

Atul Gupta, who is currently serving as Group General Manager, has been recommended for the post of Director (Commercial) of Engineers India Limited (EIL)

New Delhi: Atul Gupta is set to be the next Director (Commercial) of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Thursday. He is currently serving as Group General Manager in the same organisation.

Gupta has been recommended for the post from a list of seven candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. Out of seven candidates, six candidates were from EIL and one candidate was from MECON Limited.

As Director (Commercial) of EIL, Gupta will be a member of the board of directors and report to the Chairman and Managing Director. He would have overall responsibility for the marketing division, contracts and procurement forming joint ventures/subsidiaries/strategic alliances. He will be responsible for developing and implementing sound corporate marketing policies, commercial controls and practices in the organisation commensurate with corporate objectives and goals, evolving commercial plans and strategies. He will lead and motivate a team of professional managers for achieving targets.
