The inauguration started with the presentation of a cultural song and dance by the local artists which was followed by a painting competition for school children on the theme '75 Years of India's Independence' under the SoP of COVID-19 regulations. As a gesture of goodwill, PFC distributed cash prizes to the winning children.

While on one hand, the implementation of the projects will increase the revenue of the utility, on the other hand, the load shedding and AT&C losses will be reduced thereby benefiting the people of Tripura.

It is pertinent to note that the government of India through the Ministry of Power provides 85 percent of the total project cost.
