Bhaskar Bhattacharya appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of PFC

The Central Government has appointed Bhaskar Bhattacharya as a Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Limited

New Delhi: Central Government has appointed Bhaskar Bhattacharya as a Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Power Finance Corporation (PFC) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Power. He has been appointed on the board of PFC for a period of three years with effect from December 23, 2021, or until further orders.

"The Board of Directors in its meeting held on Thursday has appointed Adv. Bhaskar Bhattacharya as a Non-Official Independent Director on the Board of Power Finance Corporation Limited with effect from December 23, 2021," PFC informed in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges.

Bhaskar Bhattacharya is a graduate (Honours) in commerce and holds a bachelor degree in law (LLB). He also holds a postgraduate diploma in Business Management. He has been acting as an Advocate for more than 24 years. He is the Chairman of Hooghly Tax Advocates Bar Association and a Member of the West Bengal Taxation Tribunal. He has also worked as a General Secretary in an NGO named Tibetan.
