BVFCL kick starts 2nd phase of Azadi Ka Amrit celebrations

New Delhi: Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL) on August 15, 2022, kick-started the second phase of Azadi Ka Amrit celebrations by organising a host of cultural activities. The celebration started with the lighting of the lamp by BVFCL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) SP Mohanty along with other officials of the corporation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohanty highlighted the spirit of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" and elaborated on how the demographic dividend of India can be utlised to move India further. "The working-age population in India is higher than the non-working age group and this is a huge factor for economic gains," Mohanty said.

Later a host of cultural activities, such as patriotic song, drama etc. were organized, where neighboring school kids participated. Swagatam Academy, Namrup, BVFC Higher Secondary, BVFC Model HS School and Basundhara Jatiya Vidyalaya participated in the cultural activities.

A short drama showcasing the freedom struggle against British, vision of Gandhiji and highlighting the supreme sacrifice of Kanaklata Barua and Mukunda Kakati were also performed on the occasion.
