Cmde Rakesh Chhillar set to be next CMD of BBJ Ltd

New Delhi: Cmde Rakesh Chhillar has been recommended for the post of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of Braithwaite Burn & Jessop Construction Company Ltd (BBJ). He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 12. Presently, he is Commodore in the Indian Navy.

Cmde Rakesh Chhillar has been recommended for the post of CMD of BBJ Ltd from a list of five candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel. The candidates who were on the list were one each from MECON Limited, Engineers India Limited, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and KIOCL Limited.

BBJ Company Limited is a PSU under the administrative control of the Department of Heavy Industries. The company was established on January 26, 1935. BBJ has been involved in the construction and repairing of Rail Bridges & Rail-cum-Road Bridges, Industrial structural works, Large building foundations, Civil engineering works, Refinery piping works, Railway gauge conversion etc. The company is registered and headquartered in Kolkata.
