COVID Vaccination: SJVN vaccinates 1700 people in three days

SJVN Limited has successfully concluded a special vaccination drive on Wednesday, wherein 1,700 people have been vaccinated in three days

New Delhi: A three-day, Special Vaccination Drive was successfully concluded on Wednesday by SJVN Limited at Shakti Sadan, Corporate Headquarters, Shimla wherein 1,700 persons have been vaccinated. The benefitted individuals included SJVN employees, contractual workers deployed by various contractors, security personnel & staff, eligible members of their families and people from the vicinity.

SJVN Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) Nand Lal Sharma informed that the objective of this special vaccination drive is to contribute its bit in combating the second wave of the global pandemic and facilitating people to access the vaccine. Such acts are amongst series of initiatives taken by SJVN, to further strengthen the efforts of the government's vision for the eradication of COVID-19. The special vaccination drive initially planned for two days, witnessed an overwhelming response from the local populace and the same was further extended for one more day.

Sharma informed that two more special vaccination camps have been planned on June 13 and June 14 at 1,500 MW Nathpa Jhakri and 412 MW Rampur Hydro Power Stations. Besides, a vaccination camp for Dhaulasidh Hydro Electric Project in Hamirpur is also being scheduled.

This special vaccination drive has been organised in collaboration with Fortis Healthcare, Mohali. The doctors and para-medical staff from Project Hospitals of SJVN have also been actively associated with the successful organisation of this vaccination drive.
