Despite COVID disruptions, NBCC records steady growth in FY 2020-21

Despite COVID related disruptions, NBCC (India) Ltd has recorded 152.59 percent increase in the profit after tax (PAT) in FY 2020-21 on standalone basis

New Delhi: Despite COVID-19 related disruptions, Navratna PSU NBCC (India) Limited has recorded 152.59 percent increase in profit after tax (PAT) on a standalone basis. The company posted a total income from operations (net) of Rs 4,947.45 crore on a standalone basis and Rs 6,832.06 crore on a consolidated basis for FY 2020-21.

In the fourth quarter (Q4), NBCC's net profit on a consolidated basis was Rs 83.30 crore, while on a standalone basis it stood at Rs 77.80 crore. 
The NBCC board has recommended the final dividend of Rs 0.47 per paid-up equity share of Rs 1/- each ie at 47 percent for FY 2020-21, subject to the approval of shareholders in the ensuing annual general meeting (AGM).

Commenting on the results, NBCC Limited's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) PK Gupta said, "In the current FY, NBCC's execution of several big-ticket projects has picked up well, even after the pandemic disruptions, which will improve our top and bottom line."

A preferred partner of the government for infrastructure projects, 95 percent of NBCC's business revenue comes under project management consultancy (PMC) segment and redevelopment works which have grown by leaps and bounds, touching an order book of nearly Rs 62,000 crore.
