Dr Kartik Chandulal Bhadra appointed as an Independent Director of IRCON

New Delhi: Dr Kartik Chandulal Bhadra has been appointed as an Independent Director on the Board of Ircon International Limited (IRCON), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways. The Board of Directors of IRCON in its meeting held on January 5, has approved the appointment of Dr Bhadra as an Independent (Part-Time Non-Official) Director (Additional Director) on the Board of the company with effect from December 31, 2021. This information has been shared by the Miniratna Railway PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges on Wednesday.

Dr Bhadra, aged 55 years, is an MBBS. He is a Paediatrician Doctor in Kalrav Children Hospital in Valsad, Gujarat since 1991. He is not related to any other Director of the company.

Ircon International Limited (IRCON) is an engineering and construction organisation, specialized in transport infrastructure. The PSU was established in 1976, by the government under the Indian Companies Act 1956. IRCON was registered as the Indian Railway Construction International Ltd., a wholly (100%) owned entity of the Ministry of Railways. Its primary charter was the construction of railway projects in India and abroad.
