Dr Lokiash Ravikumar set to be Director (CS) of IRCTC

New Delhi: Dr Lokiash Ravikumar is set to be the next Director (CS) of Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a Miniratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways. He has been recommended for the post by the Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on August 22. Presently, he is serving as General Manager in the same organisation.

Dr Ravikumar has been recommended for the post of Director (CS) of IRCTC from a list of six candidates, who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel in its selection meeting held on August 22. Out of six candidates, four candidates were from IRCTC and one each from Indian Railways Stores Service and Indian Railways Traffic Service.

IRCTC provides ticketing, catering, and tourism services for the Indian Railways. It was initially wholly owned by the Government and operated under the administrative control of the Ministry of Railways, but has been listed on the National Stock Exchange since 2019, with the government continuing to hold majority ownership.
