Dr NM Kothari (IAS) appointed as Govt Nominee Director of GAIL

New Delhi: Dr Navneet Mohan Kothari (IAS) has been appointed as Government Nominee Director of GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG). He has been appointed on the board of GAIL (India) Limited with effect from June 16 for a period of three years on a co-terminus basis or until further orders, whichever is earlier. Dr Kothari is currently serving as Joint Secretary (Marketing) in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MoPNG).

This information has been shared by the Maharatna PSU in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.

Dr Kothari is a 2001-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Madhya Pradesh cadre. He had worked in various departments in the government of Madhya Pradesh (MP) which includes Agriculture Cooperation & Farmer Welfare and Finance. The company has confirmed that Dr Kothari is not related to any other Directors of the company and not debarred from holding the office of Director by virtue of any order of SEBI or any other authority.
