Environment Day: Flag Hoisting and Book Release at CIL

“Ready Reckoner for managing environment of CIL mines” authored by J.K.Goel was released by CIL chairman Anil Kumar Jha after flag-hoisting on the occasion of World Environment Day

Kolkata: Anil Kumar Jha, Chairman, Coal India Ltd. hoisted the Environment Day Flag at CIL's corporate office to commemorate World Environment Day 2019. Shri. Jha then administered the environment day oath to the employees and planted saplings on the CIL campus along with S.N.Prasad, Director Marketing / Finance, CIL. On the occasion, Jha and Prasad released a book, "Ready Reckoner for managing environment of CIL mines" co-authored by J.K.Goel, A. Sinha, A.K.Chakraborty and Shekhar Saran together. Speaking at the event, the CMD emphasised the importance of reducing air pollution and improving cleanliness and how it has a direct impact on our lives.

He urged that we should be committed to building a cleaner environment for a better and healthy tomorrow. S.N.Prasad speaking on the occasion highlighted how a large number of people are being affected by air pollution. He said that these man-made pollutants can be averted through environment-friendly practices.
