New Delhi: NHPC Limited is observing 'Fire Service Week' at its corporate office and also across all its regional offices, power stations and projects in the country from April 14 to April 21. The Fire Service Week is being observed with the theme "Maintenance of Fire safety Equipment is key to mitigate Fire Hazards."
A special live-fire exercise was carried out under the 'Fire Service Week' at NHPC Corporate Office on 19th April 2021. The live-fire exercise included the demonstration of fire safety equipment as fire extinguishers and usage of fire hydrants in putting out fires. The live-fire exercise was carried out following all safety norms of social distancing in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
During the 'Fire Service week' a number of banners carrying messages towards increasing awareness on fire safety and maintenance of fire equipment have also been placed across various locations of NHPC.
