GAIL pays an interim dividend of Rs 4 per equity share for FY2021-22

New Delhi: The Board of Directors of GAIL (India) Limited, a Maharatna PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, on December 23, 2021, had declared a first interim dividend of 40 percent on the paid-up equity share capital, which is Rs 4 per equity share for FY 2021-22 (total dividend amount: Rs 1,776.15 crore) with a record date of December 31, 2021.

"The board of directors of the company in its 435th meeting held today i.e. 23.12.2021 has, inter-alia, approved payment of interim dividend for the FY 2021-22 @ 40% ( Rs 4/-per equity share) on the paid-up equity share capital of the company," the GAIL had informed in the filing.

Accordingly, the company has paid an amount of Rs 913.84 crore to the government and Rs 862.31 crore to other shareholders as first interim dividend for the financial year 2021-22.
