Goa Shipyard celebrates International Yoga Day 2021 online

Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) celebrated the 7th International Yoga Day on June 21 through virtual mode

New Delhi: On the occasion of the 7th International Yoga Day, Defence PSU Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) celebrated the day on June 21 through virtual mode due to COVID-19 protocol.

As a part of the day-long celebrations, online training was conducted on basic yoga asanas and their importance in our daily life for all GSL employees through a webinar from 6.30 AM to 7.30 AM.  Further, a special online yoga session was held in the GSL premises through webinar from 10.00 AM to 11.00 AM for home isolated COVID patients and COVID recovered patients, on the modules focusing on depression, sleep disorder, breathing issues etc.

Digital resource for Yoga was circulated amongst GSL employees and in this regard, web links of videos were published for the benefit of all the employees to encourage them to observe IDY 2021 by doing the common Yoga Protocol (CYP) at home with their families with the message "Be with Yoga, Be at Home" to achieve the theme of "Yoga for Wellness."
