HEC Limited & EESL will jointly develop Solar Power Plant in HEC

  • HEC Limited and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) have signed an MoU

  • Under the MoU EESL will develop a 6 MW Solar Power Plant in the HEC premises

New Delhi: As a part of green energy movement, HEC Limited and Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly develop a 6 MW Solar Power Plant in HEC premises. This plant will be utilised to curb the present power consumption cost by a significant factor. 

The MoU has been signed in the presence of all the functional directors & officials of HEC and EESL and was represented by EESL's Director (Projects & Business Development) Venkatesh Dwivedi and other dignitaries on December 25. This information has been shared by the HEC Limited in a tweet on Tuesday.

In addition to this, an agreement for the installation of capacitor banks with automatic power factor controller (APFC) inside the HEC plant to reduce overall power consumption is also signed. Which will be very useful in making annual savings on the electricity bill.

HEC was established in the year 1958, as one of the largest integrated engineering complexes in India. It manufactures and supplies capital equipment's & machinery and renders project execution required for core sector industries.
