New Delhi: Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL), a Miniratna PSU and subsidiary company of Coal India Limited (CIL) has inaugurated a hydraulic excavator at its Kakri OCP strengthening its heavy machine muscle.
NCL's Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) PK Sinha inaugurated the Hydraulic excavator in an e-ceremony organised on Monday due to the COVID-19 Pandemic through video conferencing. NCL's Director (Personnel) Bimlendu Kumar, Director (Technical / Operations) Dr Anindya Sinha, Director (Finance) Ram Narayan Dubey also joined the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Sinha said that the introduction of new machinery will help us to meet the increasing production targets. Reiterating the contribution of employees amid the COVID period, he said the company is expected to once again surpass its fiscal targets. He asks all the employees to take due safety measures and remain healthy in difficult Coronavirus (COVID-19) time.
The newly commissioned hydraulic excavator has a bucket capacity of 11 cubic meters and is equipped with the latest modern technology and safety features.
NCL operates with its 10 opencast Coal Mines in Singrauli and Sonbhadra District of M.P. and U.P with a fleet of more than 1,200 HEMM. Production in NCL is highly dependent on heavy machines deployed in its coal mines.
"The introduction of this machine in the Kakri Project's fleet will not only ensure production targets but the enhanced safety and productivity," the PSU said in a statement.
