New Delhi: Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has recently launched a campaign #EarthWorthFighting4 for the effective ban of single-use plastic at its refineries headquarters. Indian Oil's Executive Director (HR) VK Shukla launched the campaign for urging IOCians to share their individual contribution against single-use plastic. The campaign was launched on the inaugural day of Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign-2019 in New Delhi. Shukla tweeted the first message to give up single-use plastic, tagging #EarthWorthFighting4.

"He exhorted employees to stop using single-use plastics in their daily lives and urged them to strictly follow the principles of reduce-recycle-reuse for management of plastic. He also told them to work towards eliminating single-use plastic by 2022, reiterating the clarion call of Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) on Swacchta hi Sewa. His message also motivated the general public to join the fight for Mother Earth, contributing towards reducing plastic use.

He urged them to share their experiences with the world using #EarthWorthFighting4, thus making it a powerful movement in the interest of the nation," the company said in a press release.
